NEWSFLASH!! JAYTEE PHANTOM, 2008 Black Colt by CADABRA wins Champion Led ASH Stallion/Colt at 2010 Armidale Agricultural Show. NEWSFLASH ! ! WILL I AM, 2008 Bay Colt by CADABRA wins Supreme Led ASH Exhibit at 2010 Allora Agricultural Show. His sire, PALMERS FORT ABDUL, who sadly passed away in October 2005, was a 'sire of sires' and winner of multiple ASH events whilst also being a competitive Open campdrafter. His sire, the Warwick Gold Cup winner ABDUL-IS (pictured below right), was from foundation Australian Stock Horse lines being by ABBEY-FS, and out of COMARA PRINCESS-FM. PALMERS FORT ABDUL's dam is the prolific producer, PALMERS SISSY-FM, who mothered the stallion, BETTER VIEW GUNFIRE, the sire of a Cloncurry Challenge winner and a Warwick Gold Cup winner. Perhaps her most outstanding achievement however, was placing second from a field of hundreds in the 1998 Warwick Gold Cup under Ken Boulton. She also brings top Australian Stock Horse bloodlines into play being herself sired by the great STAR BLACK MINSTRIL-FS from MILLS STUD CADDIE, an own daughter of ELLIOTTS CREEK CADET-FS. |

STANDING AT ICEWOOD AUSTRALIA IN 2010CAPTAIN BARBADOS
NEWSFLASH ! ! BUCKS DESTINY, 2006 Gelding by CAPTAIN BARBADOS, sells at 2010 Landmark Classic Campdraft Sale for $12,000. CAPTAIN BARBADOS is sired by the very popular cow horse sire, ACRES DESTINY. Whilst that speaks for itself, we would like to draw you attention to his dam line, which we believe is just as important. Captain's dam, CAPTAIN CREEK PRINCESS was an outstanding Open Campdraft mare well known throughout her district. She carried the famed Gentle Prince line plus a triple cross of Rogation, a horse whose brilliant progeny had cemented his place in the 'Captain Creek' Australian Stock Horse breeding programme. However, CAPTAIN BARBADOS is not just 'another Acres Destiny stallion'. His outstanding ASH type is the first indication that this horse is a 'cut above' the average new sire on the market. Vic Gough personally selected CAPTAIN BARBADOS as his new resident sire, the same 'eye for a horse' that chose the 3yo PALMERS FORT ABDUL from Dalby ASH Sale many years ago. Captain has attracted the eye of discerning show horse breeders and serious Campdrafting die-hards alike, and we invite you to come and assess his beautiful conformation and nature for yourself. From limited outings Captain has accumulated the following list of achievements:
Captain has also displayed his consistency as a cow horse, winning cattle working sections in four other Open Challenges and placing in Led & Working ASH classes. His limited number of progeny are stand out types, and starting under saddle, we can say first hand that they are 'born broke'. Interestingly, Captain has sired two duns and one palomino so far. Captain is an extremely kind horse to be around with superb temperament and trainability, plus he genuinely loves to work cattle. Watch for Captain Barbados and Vic Gough at the next Campdraft or Show you attend. We welcome you to come and say G'day! 2010 Service Fee: $1100 LFG

CADABRA was exported in March 2009, with Maryanne leaving at the same time. In Cadabra's time in his homeland, he has dominated the Australian Stock Horse world with multiple Supreme Champion Led awards, Supreme Champion Working Horse titles plus overall wins in ASH Cattle Working classes, Futurities & Maturities, ASHS ROM awards, plus Open Challenge successes. At only 6yo, this horse with 'brains & beauty' has an exciting future ahead of him on the other side of the world.
